The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman’s yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, ‘Nothing , I just helped him cry’.

Ten years ago today, I was a little girl. I had watched the news on the World Trade Centre being attacked by people in planes. I didn’t understand at the time, but I was horrified. Ten years ago today, thousands of people lost their lives to the terrorist attack. I’m older now, and I understand that the world can be a cruel place. My thoughts are with all the families and friends who lost the people they love on September 11, 2001. R.I.P. ♥
